Although comedian Wanda Sykes' remarks on Saturday about Rush Limbaugh continued to generate buzz, the radio talk show host avoided the topic during his Monday broadcast.
During her routine, Sykes issued a sharp and controversial rebuke of Limbaugh:
"Mr. President ... you've had your fair share of critics. ... Rush Limbaugh, one of your big critics, boy — Rush Limbaugh said he hopes this administration fails. So you’re saying, ‘I hope America fails.’ You’re like, ‘I don’t care about people losing their homes, their jobs or our soldiers in Iraq.’ He just wants our country to fail.
“To me, that’s treason. He’s not saying anything differently than Osama bin Laden is saying. You know you might want to look into this, sir, because I think Rush Limbaugh was the 20th hijacker but he was just so strung out on Oxycontin he missed his flight. ...
“Rush Limbaugh — I hope the country fails. I hope his kidneys fail, how about that? He needs a waterboarding, that’s what he needs.”
Many thought Sykes crossed the line with that bit. New York Daily News columnist Mike Lupica called it tasteless. National Review's Jonah Goldberg said it was "particularly awful."
During his show Monday — his first since Saturday night’s dinner — Limbaugh alluded to the dinner just once, calling it "showbiz for ugly people, that's what politics is.”
There was, however, a mysterious moment during the show's final minutes, when Limbaugh interrupted a dialogue on fiscal policy and, in a statement seemingly directed at his prodding producer, said, "How can they be running a response, when I didn't respond? Well, there isn't going to be a response!"

Why dignify that hate speech with a reponse? Wanda Sykes wishes she had 1% of the audience that Mr. Limbaugh has on a bad day.
I was pleased he never mentioned it.
He knows that even noticing the ranting of a cut-rate Madame Defarge like Sykes would be beneath him.
He’d have to do an afterburner vertical dive for hours to reach the slime levels of that ignorant slut.
Rush handled it perfectly, as is par for the course for him :)

What she said speaks loudly enough for reasonable people to understand the viciousness of the Left,IMHO.
The Rat playbook this year has been to define Republicans as mean and the party of “No”. They also named Rush as the leader of the party.
Now they come out with a vicious attack on Rush that the president laughed at.
Rush is very smart not to respond. The Rats have shown their true colors. They have overplayed their hand once again. And it’s going to hurt them before too long.
Read the comments on the article at Politico. They appear to have a near-illiterate, angry fan base.

He couldn’t say anything that would make that bunch look worse than they’ve already made themselves look to anyone who isn’t hardcore left or Obamanotized.
Not very mysterious..at 2:51 EDT (looked at the clock) Fox (Trace Gallagher) was anxiously awaiting his response. Damn, hate to do Politico's work for them.

However, the discussion comments on the vote are full of nasty remarks, ugh. I felt like I needed to take a shower after I read them. The left, Sykes included, seem to believe election results putting BHO in the White House entitle them to behave horribly. I wonder how far they'll take it?
