I pretty much agree with those sentiments. I don’t usually watch other state election but the 2004 Toomey/Specter fight got my attention (and ticked me off when D.C. imposed themselves into it). So, it has my interest again for the next election. I’m interested in the FL race largely because I see the same tactics as I’m seeing in California. More D.C. involvement in pushing their squshy candidates.
As to the RNC, RNSC and RNCC, I’m with you 100%.
No. Abel ain’t squishy — he’s a Rat.
Interesting rumors going around about Abel. It goes something like this: if Garamendi wins Dauscher’s seat, Arnie would appoint Abel to replace him. Abel could then run as an incumbent for the Lt.Gov. spot.

Walter reminds me of Dick Cheney... in a good way.
LOL. That’s good! Thanks!
(still laughing)
I agree.
I really think with Ridge saying he won’t run in PA the attention moves to Florida. I really dislike Crist and knowing McCain pushed him to declare against Jeb’s guy I am rooting for Rubio, that could be a watershed race. McCain also pushed a candidate in DE, that is such a liberal state we would be lucky to get even a liberal Republican elected there, but I want to see an true in your face to McCain/Crist in Florida...
With his name and facial expressions, he could do a pretty mean Villaraigosa until he runs for Gub
Kiss of death.
You be me by thaaaaat much!!
I think Jeff DoneHam would probably do a much better than any McCain approved dweeb.
McCain endorsing a candidate is a reason to close the wallet and NOT vote for that person.
McCain = Poison.
We supported you, Jeff, and then you let us down. We're done with you.
There are many obvious reasons to present/support a candidate for public office but none is more important than committed campaign funds. Not the ability to raise campaign funds but commitments from donors prior to a public statement.
What were/are the substantial funding sources for contemporary GOP campaigns: 1) Businesses who benefit from public policy, 2) Special interests, usually business, with self serving, financial aims and 2) Self finance contributed the majority of funds in contemporary, statewide, politcal contests. There was no groundswell of grassroots financing for either party.
A prudent individual can then conclude that Denham has secured commitments from major state contractors, including public utilities, the New Majority, financial institutions and agribusiness. No one would have solicited McAngry's endorsement, nor would he have given it unless these commitments were secured.
This assures that Denham is a Pete Wilson, Bill Jones, Arnold Schwarzenegger clone. Not a principled leader, but rather a politcal chameleon who will go along to get along to keep the hand of his benefactors in the public treasury.
Just like Schwartzenegger and a growing number who think they can marginalize people like Dick Chaney and Rush Limbaugh and any other righteously conservative Republicans!!!
Speaking of Rush... I'm just north of him near Veiro Beach and have been watching the night lightening storms over the Atlantic that he once described on his show. Phenominal!!!
A disease? More like a cancer, but that would be presupposing that McCain was, at one time, a good conservative.
Personally, I don't think he ever was a conservative...in which case, yes, let's eradicate the RINO virus.
PURGE THE RINOS...PURGE THEM ALL! |

can someone tell me how Denham got the chairmanship of the committee on Veterans Affairs? Was it really a Dems reward to him or was it simply that he was the best veteran in congress to head that committee?
TIA
