Boy, do you have it wrong. I have lived and worked in Israel and know, first hand, that Israel is not a peer of the major western powers primarily because of scope and scale of its economy. This is not a "Jewish thing" either. Israel is comparable to Ireland in population and GDP and has had to deal with sectarian violence and holocausts, but this does not entitle them to dictate to the US. Do not deceive yourself into believing that Israel is self sufficient. If not for the largess of the American tax payer and guilt payments of major European countries grass would grow in the streets. Israel cannot depend upon the US (and American Christians and Catholics) for security and charity for its existence and then righteously demand that we mind our own business. If we did Israel would surely perish at the hands of the "friendly natives".

I am in Israel all the time. Half my family lives and works there. I do business there.
Israel is extremely self-sufficient, moreso than Europe whose defense is at American hands and American expense. Now, not only in the last two world wars. (200 billion a year buried in the defense budget and NATO which is worthless) No US soldiers have ever died fighting for Israel.
You need to look at some real numbers not give me the benefit of your stupidity from your supposed living there way back when. What they get from the US is the same thing Egypt gets by law. Do we dictate to Egypt? Israel is not a failed state like Pakistan, Jordan, Egypt and most of the other places we give aid.
They get nothing from Europe except trade. In fact Europe funds their enemies which Israel then has to spend money disarming. The US funds the Palistinians too undermining Israeli defense efforts.
None of this or anything else gives the US, or so called Chritians like yourself, the right to dictate anything to a sovereign country like Israel.
