I’m sick of it...why can’t a Pope condemn what is scripturally a false prophet, indeed a false religion, that has been blasphemous in its treatment of Jesus Christ...that has threatened to murder the Pope...and calls for the death of all non-Muslims...and the destruction of Israel and embodies the culture of death...with a belief that the highest honor is to martyr onself as a homicide bomber? It would be skewed and silly to ignore the problems we have with Jihadists and get into Catholic v. Protestant argument, but if you want to go down that road...by all means...it won’t further your complacency.

Not all Muslims believe that, and even if they did, should the Pope try to exclude them from the eventual mercy of our Father? Are you at all aquainted with the historic criticisms of Catholic meddling in political affairs? Should he not be sensitive of those?
Go ahead and criticise him all you want on his reluctance to get more dirty in mixing the temporal and the spiritual. Teh Pope can take it.
