Beg to disagree. Obama has a very clear understanding of the mid-east and of Israel's role.
Unfortunately, he gained that understanding from the likes of Rashid al-Khalidi and Khalid al-Mansour.
al-Khalidi was a close associate of the Obamas at the Univ of Chicago. The families often had dinner together discussing the state of the mid-east far into the night.
al-Mansour was a mentor who arranged and collected the funds to send Obama to Harvard -- where he was essentially sponsored by Arab interests.
Obama isn't bumbling around in the mid-east. He has clear direction and a plan. And "the strategic importance of our relationship with the only democracy in the region" has nothing to do with it.
They want to be notified so some jackass like albright can warn all of the arab countries (like she did when the cruise missle attack was launched by the US in 1998.)
Boy, would I like to be a fly on the wall for that discussion. I suppose the Penata will also visit the Pali’s and profess his love and devotion.
Israel..you are on your own. If you do it ok..no problem if you screw up we won’t help you. Let you go down in a hail of missiles, let Syria overrun the Goland and let Lebanon invade from the north. Maybe even Jordan sending in troops. So what.
There is going to be consequences for Israel if they take out Iran’s nukes built by Russia there in Iran.
The extent of retaliation will depend upon Putin’s determination of risk. With Obama, Russia attacking Israel in retaliation presents zero risk from the US.
This is a lose/lose situation for Israel. If they fail to take out the nukes promised to kill them they are dead. If they take them out, Russia will have a chance to become the hero of Arab world...and have access to their oil supply. New World Order.
If Bibi informs the U.S.. expect either Iran to be informed and prepared, or the USAF to contest Iraqi airspace with the IAF. Either is possible. Both will be catastrophic.
