The problem is that they do not teach logic, philosophy, or how to understand the basic propositions in the Constitution and Declaration of Independence. This is a serious problem in American society. People don't understand the Constitution, Law, Reason, or basic common sense.

From what I understand, tolerating slavery in the South at the time of the Constitution Convention was necessary for ratification and so the birth of America.

In the Treaty of Paris each unit of the Colony of New England was treated as an independent nation, so you ended up with Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont and New Hampshire ~ rather than just “New England”.

I think what you are trying to say is that under the Articles of Confederation each state had one vote, therefore the New England states had more power than their population size would warrant. The Treaty of Paris had nothing to do with it.

Absolutely. Had the Founders attempted to implement the full implications of the Declaration of Independence in the Constitution, including women’s suffrage and full equality of blacks before the law, not a single state would have ratified it.
