It’s kind of an academic argument here at FR. If Romney runs again his supporters will not be allowed to promote him here.

I don’t understand your take that the taxpayers should pay for all the uninsured. That is the current policy and I think it should be changed. Why don’t you?

“If Ronaldus Maximus came down from heaven right in his glory, and proclaimed: “Well, that Romney is all right by me”, you’d not be joining Reagan, rather you’d be saying—”Reagan’s been stuck in heaven, what does he know?”

Not really, I would be posting quotes and video like these.

“And you know what? I’m following in some pretty good footsteps. It’s exactly what Ronald Reagan did. As governor, he was adamantly pro-choice. He became pro-life as he experienced life.”

“I was an independent during the time of Reagan-Bush. I’m not trying to return to Reagan-Bush.”

And, so what is the point of these threads, save to have each poster vie to (re-)post their favorite Romney calumny?

Isn't that going to get really boring?

If Romney fizzles out in the next few years, well then FR will have been proven right. But what if Romney somehow manages to becomes the GOP nominee in 2012? Does FR continue to be a no-go zone for Romney support?

He has NEVER been a Conservative but sure does pander.

That's hilarious coming from someone who wanted to foist Rudy Giuliani on the party.

FLASHBACK.

Typical Romney falsehood: "I told you what my position was, and what I, what I did as governor; the fact that I received the endorsement of the NRA."

The truth:

Romney: "“That’s not going to make me the hero of the NRA
Boston Herald (1994)

Romney: " “I don’t line up with the NRA.
Boston Globe, January 14, 2007

More Truth about Romney faking endorsements:

"Behind the empty gestures and deceptive rhetoric, Romney was not pro-life
or a defender of marriage by any stretch of the imagination.
He was a disaster," said O'Gorman, of the board for Massachusetts Citizens for Life.
He said Romney "deceptively" claims to have been awarded
a pro-life award from the group.

"The award Romney arranged for himself with the local Pioneer Valley Chapter
was the Mullins Award for Political Leadership, not a pro-life award
and not approved by MCFL's state board of directors," he said.
"We're blowing the whistle to warn voters…
"

The RomneyBOTs cannot rebut that Romney was a poor
governor, a dictator, a socialist even before Obama,
and was involved in coverups and backstabbings and
fake endorsements and fake LEO badges.

The RomneyBOTs, like Mitt Romney (an occasional FReeper)
have assented. So they claim he is immune to these
episodes because he is special, and to bring them up
is ‘hateful’.

What about the hatred of Team Romney for America, the GOP, and Gov. Palin?

"Peeking Out From the McCain Wreckage: Mitt Romney"

"Someone's got to say it: IS MITT ROMNEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY?"

"Vanity: Team Romney Sabotaged Palin and Continuing to Do So?"

"Romney Supporters Trashing Palin"

"Romney advisors sniping at Palin?"

Poor sport spoiler Romney attacks other GOP candidatesn:

Novak: "Fred Thompson drop-out rumors traced to Romney campaign"

Said Novak: "The rumors were traced in part to Mitt Romney's campaign,
trying to stir up strife between McCain and Thompson
."

"Despite outspending his rivals by huge margins throughout the primaries,
(Mitt Romney, Carpetbagger UT,CA,MA,NH,Mexico) lost Iowa, South Carolina, Florida and California.
The only primaries he won were in Michigan, where Dad was governor; LDS states;
and a few states on Super Tuesday in which his California-obsessed rivals
couldn't spare the cash to advertise.
Only John Connolly in 1968 had a worse cash-to-delegates ratio.
And John McCain rightly did not like Romney's tactics during the primaries.
(W)hen (Romney's early leads) started slipping away, he resorted to unfair,
distorted, scorched-earth negative ads, betting that his opponents couldn't
afford to spend enough for the truth to catch up to his charges."

I call them like I see them. Rudy was conservative on all issues but social issues. At least he was honest where he stood and didn’t flip flop to suit the audience. You would never see Romneycare out of Rudy.

I have a hard time figuring out why anyone would want someone who ran in 2008 and couldn’t even beat McCain. It is like I am missing a piece of the puzzle. Sometimes I wonder if DemocRAT moles are pushing some of these candidates while pretending to be Conservatives.

Rudy was conservative on all issues but social issues.

That means he isn't conservative, but yes he was no compulsive liar like Romney.

Ignore the Romney bot's focus on the 2008 primary, you aren't still supporting Giuliani for the future but they are still pushing Romney like it is 2007 forever.

That’s what I noticed as well. I don’t want any of the 2008 primary candidates to run for President again and that includes ones I still like. It would be suicide for the GOP.

My favorite going in was George Allen who the RATs took out in the Senate race. I was already on my 2nd choice when the race started.

A continuing education program.

Isn't that going to get really boring?

How will that be a problem? People who are bored won't click on the threads.

But what if Romney somehow manages to becomes the GOP nominee in 2012? Does FR continue to be a no-go zone for Romney support?

I think that was exactly what JimRob had in mind with his thread about it. You would have to ask him if you need clarification on it.

“heavy fines that hit employers and the self-employed for not knuckling under to the Massachusetts plan, “free choice” is a fantasy and a LIE”

That wasn’t part of the original plan and he vetoed the employer fines when they were proposed by the dims. Not sure if facts matter though. The NRA crowd who welcomed him must obviously be misguided.

Not sure if facts matter though.

Barney with all of the BS that you have tried to spread here at FR since you signed up to promote Romney, you have zero credibility.
