Manslaughter? Isn’t that murder? Manslaughter is when you are not meaning to kill someone. Obviously getting shot in the chest would kill someone.

I'm guessing the prosecution offered him a plea bargain rather than risk taking him in front of a jury of his Boston peers and getting an OJ verdict.
