These songs came into my collection over a period of several years. Some of them, including the two Tex Williams records, are in 78 rpm format, and the others are either on vinyl LP or cassette. I had to send to Holland to get a copy of "Stalin Kicked the Bucket" by Ray Anderson, one of my all-time favorite country-western songs.
Most of these songs are probably in digital format today, although it might take a lot of searching to find them.
Here are a few more:
- Atomic Power--Fred Kirby, 1946 (a tribute to the A-bomb that was covered by numerous artists)
- When That Hell Bomb Falls--Fred Kirby, 1950 (Fred wasn't so enthusiastic about the H-bomb as he was about the A-bomb)
- The Death of Joe Stalin--Buddy Hawk & His Buddies, 1953
- Doug MacArthur--Roy Acuff, 1951
- The Ballad of Francis Gary Powers--Red River Dave, 1960
