One should also keep in mind, that re-born Poland accepted and granted Polish citizenship to around 600.000 Jews from Russia, after communist revolution of 1917. Many Jews also emigrated to Poland after the Kristallnacht in Germany in 1939.

And wasn't even the "anti-semitic" Endecja party in power then?

My mistake - the Kristallnacht was in 1938.

Anyway - the “Endecja” wasn’t in power neither in 1938, nor in 1939.

However - another fact is, that even Polish pre-war far Right (actually anti-semitic), didn’t decide to collaborate with the Germans during the occupation.
