Me too — I’ve heard and read about this for some time, not just in past couple of days. We who always paid on time (within the grace period) and in full used to be known as deadbeats. Then we were led to believe we were the cream of the crop credit card holders. And now we will be the unlucky ones to pay for the misdeeds of others who abuse their credit. Nope, that little scheme won’t work. I’m with you and will use cash and checks if this comes to pass.
But how will you reserve hotels or buy airline tickets over the phone? How will you buy things on line?
It’s not that easy to completely dispense with credit cards.
This will be a total disaster.
The current series of economic blunders, which started in early 2008, will make the series committed by Hoover and FDR look good in comparison.
