Sounds like what really bothers this guy is anyone he perceives as really successful.
Did he campaign against nonprofit organizations that donated money to the medical school? Those organizations got their money from “Corporate America” too. How about the school endowment? Without the oodles of money from Wall Street, its coffers would have run dry long ago.
People like Sharfstein want to take potshots at Corporate America that assuage their egos. The simple fact is that absent Corporate America, they’d be planting corn somewhere.
Corporate America aside, big pharma has serious issues that need to be looked at.
