The contrasts between the two speeches were obvious. Obama continues to see this as a political issue, and Cheney knows this isn't about right vs. left, Republican vs. Democrat, Conservative vs. Liberal. It's about right vs. wrong... It boils down to protecting the American people.

President Bush and VP Cheney did the right thing.  Obama is purely running opposite of this plan because he ran against President Bush in the 2008 election.
