Now we need someone to write a similar article exploding all the myths surrounding the Matthew Shepard "martyrdom".

Living close to Laramie, I've heard a lot of facts never mentioned (or forgotten) by the MSM that:

• Provide evidence his killers were money-motivated, not hate-motivated,
• Provide evidence their brains were addled due to the drugs & booze,
• Offer evidence the killers had no idea they'd hurt him badly, and thought he would wake up and walk away,
• Demolish the Christ-parallel details of his death (as seen in the play, for instance) as being entirely myth,
• Demonstrate how a circulation war between the two regional giants - the Denver Post and Rocky Mtn News - helped create the martyrdom myth from the beginning.

Perhaps they had no idea that they killed Matthew Shepard, but I am sure some of their fellow lonely inmates will have plenty of ideas as what they can do with Matthew's killers.

Not quite the lethal injection that they deserved, but at least they will have company in prison for the rest of their lives.
