I’m surprised some FReepers haven’t confronted Pres. Bush in this manner already. Okay, maybe I’m joking just a little bit.
Well RabidRalph, as you probably know already, I’ve not been complaint lite when addressing President Bush. I think the guy did a number of good things. And while I’m happy to compliment him on those, I’m not bashful about expressing my displeasure about the prescription addition to medicare, the illegal alien problem, officially solidifying our military preparedness at the one theater level, and other things.
We don’t get a Republican Congress and White House very often, and I think that overall there was a massive disconnect with what projects we needed to get done while the sun shined. Who knows when we’ll get another majority?
I wouldn’t encourage anyone to approach a political person like this guy did Giuliani. You’d have to be a nut-job to do so. I would hope our FReepers would refrain from such things, no matter who it was.
Let’s hope that never happens.
I agree with every blown opportunity you mentioned. I just pray that we can reverse all this damage once we do get back into full leadership.
Now you got me. What did you say? LOL
A lot of Freepers don't like Rudy because he's not as conservative as they would like, missing that a real conservative would not get elected in NYC. In NYC, moderate Dems run as Republicans, because the NYC Dem party is dominated by Trotskyites. That's how it is. Ed Koch was the last moderate Dem that could be elected there.
I have a lot of respect for Rudy. He pulled NYC out of the downward spiral that Dinkins put it in.
Thanks for those comments on point RabidRalph.
We share the hope that causes those prayers too.
Take care bud.
That’s just me peeking over the wall at the FreeKitty.
Well, welcome neighbor. LOL
Thank you. And BTW that wasn’t me the other night when you were skinny dipping. Honest! ;-)
It better not have been. :)
Rudy and Judi Giuliani were accosted today in the Hamptons by an angry man who threatened to "punch out" the former mayor, witnesses told The Post. Patrons sitting outside The Golden Pear bakery in downtown Bridgehampton around 2 p.m. said a "slim, well-dressed man in his fifties" came charging out of nowhere and began screaming at the happy couple as they left a nearby art fair. "I'm gonna punch your lights out," the wacko repeatedly yelled at Giuliani, witnesses said. Rudy and Judi appeared startled and then agitated by the man's aggressive behavior. At one point the man started jabbing the former mayor in the chest, said Mark Borghi, owner of an art gallery on Bridgehampton's Main Street. "Alright, do it then!" Borghi heard the Brooklyn native Giuliani yell to his tormentor.
