Sanity from across the pond:

There is something very reassuring about a leader who never apologizes for America's actions, possesses no self-doubts about defending his country, and who believes his nation must do what is necessary to crush al-Qaeda. The spectacular return of Dick Cheney on the political stage is a huge breath of fresh air after months of suffocating liberal dominance in Washington. Let's hope he's here to stay.

Dick Cheney: brutal, uncompromising, brilliant

I was just reading that piece by Nile Gardiner, the Director of The Heritage Foundation’s Margaret Thatcher Center for Freedom.

Unless he was baiting the left, brutal in no way describes Cheney’s AEI speech. He cut through the treasonous dems lies and demagoguery, leaving them naked and bleeding without removing his jacket, much less working up a sweat.

Off topic, but this broke my concentration while reading the article:

Another influential conservative, William Kristol...

I'm surprised that another influential conservative, Me-me-me-gan McCain wasn't mentioned. /sarc

“George Lucas got a severe and scathing letter from the NAACP about the character, Jar Jar Binks, as being a ‘Step N’ Fetchum’ throwback. Lucas apologized in the major media and the character was reduced to a few seconds’ presence in later films.”

Bush and Cheney fell out badly at the very end. Cheney was incensed that Bush would not use his prerogative in his final days to pardon the vice-president's former chief of staff, Lewis "Scooter" Libby, who was convicted for lying over the outing of a CIA agent. Cheney viewed Libby as a loyal servant - one who may have been covering up for someone higher up - and said a few days after losing office that Libby had been "hung out to dry".

That's interesting. I never heard that from our lamestream media

Well, I guess if one is a dem then they would pick "all of the above"

On a lighter note I discovered reagan_fanatic's post from a few years back.

Cheney's Dog Darth Vader for Halloween ... (Cheney in a wicked response)
