Can anyone read that and tell me, honestly, that our political system is not completely broken? And no, I am not shocked that there are hookers in the whorehouse - just that they continue to leave the windows open and advertise the sickest available depravities with giant neon signs. We made the government our collective pimp-daddy, who expects not only his "fair cut", but demands some extra something on the side to keep from smacking us around.

One longtime lobbyist said: "I would say they're a little clumsy. I don't think it's malicious, I just don't think they know what they're doing. I don't think they know the rights and wrongs of how to do it, to make sure it doesn't sound like a quid pro quo."

The big-gov has its giant fist up every rear in America, and there is a waiting list to give Uncle Sam a reach-around in the hopes that his fist won't get lodged any higher. It is a giant sleaze fest (and hopefully nobody will make the mistake of thinking that things are any better in this regard when the GOP is in power - you don't have to make the rules in order to later use them to extract your cut).

"At a 60-39 majority you're going to raise a lot more than a 53-46," said one lobbyist. "That's close enough that you're not going to get 10-to-1. No one is going to misplace a bet that badly."

Durrrr, what could that possibly mean? The lobbyist is merely trying to get a bridge named after his favorite dear grandmother?

The very same Democrats who screamed about the HORRORS of money in the campaign system. They screamed for campaign finance reform.

Oh, yeah, that's when Republicans were out fundraising them 3 to 1. Remember that? Remember when the foolish RINOs begged Democrats to let them help “reform” the campaign system? Where are Democrats now? Where is Rusty Feingold? Where is the corrupt MSM decrying the obscenity of the chase for campaign cash? Where were they when Obama raised $750 million, much from foreign sources?

For that matter, where are the Republicans now? Why are they not exposing the hypocrisy? And people wonder why RINOs need to be purged?
