Hmm...don’t know if that’s true or not but sometimes people do take stuff the wrong way. Short statured people had a problem with Randy Newman’s “Short People” song but actually the song has Newman portraying a bigot (the lines people seem to miss: ‘Short People are just the same as you and I’/’The fools such as I’) Thus Newman is making fun of bigots not being one.

Actually, the song is intentionally ambiguous. The lyrics you cite can also be interpreted as the singer's unserious sop to bleeding hearts. That ambiguity makes the song more complex and interesting.

There is nothing complex or interesting about these Canadian liberal comics. In place of humor, they offer a simple message thinly disguised as black humor parody: Racist conservative morons want to assassinate Obama.

Like much liberal humor, this is not funny. Nor is it racist. It is just rank, ignorant, anti-conservative bigotry.
