That’s all just political speak for burning the constitution and writing a new one from the bench!

“Modern Context”:

Bad = Good
Up = Down
Moral equivalence.
Productivity is punished.
The nuclear family is attacked.
Innocent life ends at the bottom of a stainless steel clinical trash receptacle.
All cultures are equal.
Crime is free expression.

This is the precise reason that “secession” is discussed.

In other words, the marxists don’t care about the Constitution and neither will their appointees.

Will America finally wake up before it is too late?

Could it be Obama intends to use her to undermine the law. To a dictator, the law is a major “inconvenience”.

In other words, it should be re-written to fit a secular progressive worldview, where subjective things like “social justice” are considered supreme to the actual rule of law.

I guess he means sorta like taking the “any person” language of the 14th Amendment and “modernize” it to mean “any non-white person”

Or perhaps to find some modern “right of privacy” that justifies the killing of the unborn.

"The republicans had better stand up and fight or it’s time to throw all the bums out!!

There's not much left to fight with. Chances are very good that Stuart Smalley will be seated sometime in late June to Mid-July. Once Franken is seated, they will have a filibuster proof majority, for the next 18 months.

Obama will get this appointment, no problem. And his next appointment, who will be radically to the left of Sotomayer will also be confirmed. Elections have consequences and we're about to feel one very shortly.

So much for an "impartial judge." Guess legal debates are going to be a popularity contest all about who can appeal to the judge's sense of idealistic justice. Just great. She's supposedly not the top "intellect" in the pool. She's on tape as saying judges set policy (Constitutional violation), and she has had a majority of her decisions that were appealed to the SCOTUS reversed on appeal. Yes sports fans, even the liberal court we had reversed a majority of her cases that were brought to it. Great. A less than stellar intellect that goes with her feelings and regularly makes bad calls that have to be reversed. Good call obama! :-/
