Yep, words AND symbols even. Who knew the harmless little rainbow once the sign of a covenant between God and man, associated with a pot of gold in Irish lore, and children's stories (care bears ring a bell?) is now a symbol of sexual perversion.
They've hijacked the word gay and the rainbow. Gripes me too.
I was thinking of the rainbow too. I wonder if it was picked because of children’s natural appreciation for them in nature.
