I recently heard an inspiring recording of Princess Elizabeth at about age 12 delivering a radio address cheering on her countrymen in the throes of war. The King and Queen never sent Princess Elizabeth and Princess Margaret out of London during the blitz, as so many other families did, believing their duty was to remain with their people.
Queen Eliz has conducted herself with dignity at all times and discharged the duties of her position without fail. For this reason alone, she'd be an embarrassment to the cheap chiseling money grabbing country hating louts in office now and of course they don't want a public comparison.
I believe that the quote from the Queen (QEII’s mother) was “The children can not leave without me. I can not leave without the King and the King will never leave.”.
