By the same token, any two or more ragheads praying to mecca on their own property are also guilty of conducting a "religious assembly".

Religious assembly cannot be regulated, unless one is taking some sort of tax advantage from it. Otherwise it is clearly protected.
The only grounds the city has have to do with issues completely outside the reason of the assembly - parking, noise, etc.

Yup. I guess it all comes down to what kind of country we want to live in ... one where Big Brother doesn’t come knocking at your door when you slightly inconvenience your neighbors by doing things you believe to be right, or one where your neighbors get to severely inconvenience you for doing what they think is wrong, even if they’re the ones who are wrong.
