So, the article says there won’t be summer school but it doesn’t say how the younger kids are supposed to make up their classes. If they just fail and have to repeat the year then there’s no $$$$ saved. Paying teachers for a few weeks of summer school is a lot less strain on the school budget than having the kids repeat the entire year. Not to mention summer school might just keep a few off the streets like that little wannabe punk in your pic.

LA-USD has a 50% drop-out rate and the teachers are some of the highest paid in the country. Education is not the mission of LA public schools, it’s to provide tenure and pensions for union teachers.

The purpose of this article is to scare voters.
