You can argue methods, but you certainly can’t argue with the results.

Thank you President Bush. You got the protect America from terrorists concept down. (Short of protecting our southern border.)
But you did the job.

And those lives saved were primarily in the dark blue cesspools called “urban areas”, you know, the ones that didn’t vote for him and hated him.
I’m thinking if BO found out of a terrorist plot aimed at his political enemies, he’d be less inclined to stop it.
Just from observation.

Better late than never.
As former president with (more than) a modicum of decorum and decency, Pres Bush has been in a delicate situation with regard to defending his Administration v. bashing the current one. Democrat former presidents are not so constrained. History will be kind to this man and his service to the country. His critics will be a footnote.

That is so well said and short and to the point. If the Party had a clue as to how to respond it would have had this out as their motto the middle of 2006.

I hope so. The democrats did a good job of painting him the boogey man, to promote themselves.
I am not a republican but it looks refreshing to see him at the podium over TOTUS empty suit. Hell...Jimmah Carter would look good about now.

McLame probably nixed it.

his ban on embryonic stem cell research Here's the usual error. Bush never banned embryonic stem cell research. He merely banned Gov't funding for this type of research.

Anyone who thinks that real intel on what was what (or is now) can be discussed openly is deranged. Those dem-fascists lie when accusing W and other conservatives of misdeeds in re defense of the US. Because the dem-fascists know what occurs per their leadership positions in Congress, they are beneath contempt.

Obama could learn a thing or two about class from this guy, among other things.

Here's the usual error. Bush never banned embryonic stem cell research. He merely banned Gov't funding for this type of research. Even better than that, he refused to START funding it (there was ZERO Federal funding of embryonic stem cells under the Clinton Administration).
He didn't shut anything down, or prohibit any business or private lab from the research, he just refused to start a Federal research program.
