In a Michigan speech, Bush spoke out about his administration's efforts to combat terrorism.

I’m thinking if BO found out of a terrorist plot aimed at his political enemies, he’d be less inclined to stop it.

Better late than never.

As former president with (more than) a modicum of decorum and decency, Pres Bush has been in a delicate situation with regard to defending his Administration v. bashing the current one. Democrat former presidents are not so constrained. History will be kind to this man and his service to the country. His critics will be a footnote.

Anyone who thinks that real intel on what was what (or is now) can be discussed openly is deranged. Those dem-fascists lie when accusing W and other conservatives of misdeeds in re defense of the US. Even better than that, he refused to START funding it (there was ZERO Federal funding of embryonic stem cells under the Clinton Administration).

He didn't shut anything down, or prohibit any business or private lab from the research, he just refused to start a Federal research program.
