He is the one who refused to let the Military protect the Rangers in Somalia.

That was Les Aspin.

Cohen didn't become SecDef until 1997.

Former Clinton defense secretary William Cohen criticized the Obama administration for cutting back on missile defense just as North Korea ramps up its nuclear testing. Not sure this helps Sec. Cohne with the Dems! http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/2260618/posts

Obama Missile Defense Cuts A Mistake http://www.aim.org/don-irvine-blog/obama-missle-defense-cuts-a-mistake/

From ABC News’ Jake Tapper Writing the Washington Times, William Cohen, a Republican senator from Maine who served as President Bill Clinton’s defense secretary from 1997 through 2001, says that President Obama’s decision to reduce the funding commitment to the US missile-defense system by $1.4 billion “sends the signal that we do not take the threats of rogue regimes seriously, and are willing to take the risk that current technologies are sufficient to prevent devastating...

It appears that China is indeed pissed off enough this time, as some media have reported.

LOL. I'm still of the opinion that NK is nothing but China's proxy and does whatever Beijing tells them to do. All this bluster by China is for US and European consumption.

The Chicoms are going to move on our allies in East Asia now that we have a weak pretender in office. The first task is to demonstrate to Taiwan, SK, and Japan how utterly weak and benighted the US is. Considering who's running the show in DC, it won't be difficult.

Double secret probabtion

"Double secret probation, sir?"

"Yes.....it's a little known codicile in the Democrat constitution that gives Obama the power to issue a strongly worded statement in times of national emrgency."
