WASHINGTON, D.C. (BNO NEWS) -- President Obama released the following statement on the murder of Dr. George Tiller on Sunday.

"I am shocked and outraged by the murder of Dr. George Tiller as he attended church services this morning. However profound our differences as Americans over difficult issues such as abortion, they cannot be resolved by heinous acts of violence."

Sorry... but you must have never been in the Service. Killing anyone always causes nightmares and problems... Good for you in realizing that you would not have such problems..

People are murdered every day. And why does this one rate a special presidential statement?

Why does it rate any more attention than any other murder.

I wonder how many black teens murdered in the hood get mentioned on national news like this?

Do they really feel that Tiller's murder is any worse than any other murder, including the thousands he's committed?

This was an act of terrorism plain and simple, done for the exact same reason all terrorists commit their acts. If people start going around killing to get our points across this country will be bedlam and I for one don’t want to see it. If so many of us are concerned about the constitution and rule of law they we will be adamently against this behavior. And saying the victim did something bad is NOT an excuse. This sickens me if it really was a terrorist.

This wasn’t just a murder - it was an act of terrorism to frighten others. It will and should be taken much more seriously than an ordinary murder.

Quoted tonight on the KansasCity.com Website...........................................

"With the murder of Dr. Tiller there will now be a full scale assault on pro-life advocates. I urge you not to be taken in by the mainstream media on this.

Almost all of us who profess to be pro-life would never have advocated the murder of Dr. Tiller. Murder is murder and is wrong whether you are killing millions of unborn children of someone like Dr. Tiller.

<cut>

Before we name a holiday in honor of Dr. Tiller let’s get a few facts straight.

This was not your ordinary abortion provider. This was the worst that the industry had to offer. This was a man who performed late term abortions. He performed abortions on babies that were viable outside the womb. He allowed babies born alive, the product of an unsuccessful abortion, to die. He failed to report rapists and incest in violation of state law. Without the protection of former Governor Kathleen Sibelius and her minions he would likely have been in jail long ago. Do not be fooled by stories depicting Tiller as a “woman’s health care provider.” He was one of the few doctors in the entire country to perform late term abortions. That’s right; even the vast majority of abortion doctors refuse to perform these forgoing the large revenues that could be generated. Does that tell you anything?"

Ummm, then there a tons of other people we need to get busy and murder - cause there are a lot of evil people out there. Look around you and see how many people are killing and murdering innocents. What if everyone acted as you seem to be advocating? People on this site are really acting nuts.

It took three responses on that website to that article for a (likely) DUer to show up and blame the whole pro-life movement for his murder.

How predictable.......

You on the other hand seem to think that murder is okay under the right circumstances... Who makes the circumstances okay to do that? It is a problem that will never go away - if it is a personal decision (human choice), it is wrong by default. If it is what you think God would approve, it is also wrong by default (Got would never agree with killing anyone). So you are left with a major problem...

LOL, careful buckwheat, your logic slipped out of your pocket. What you are imposing on me is YOUR confused morality, not mine. And that means the "major problem" is yours, because I have no problem with this issue at all.

But what particular subject are we talking about here, Mr. Philosopher? Murder? Killing? What? Murder is the deliberate, wrongful taking of life. Do you realize what kind of insult you gave me by claiming, without any justification, that I support this? Does your slander bother you?

And as for "personal decision (human choice)" being "wrong by default," you mind telling me how decisions are made if not by personal, human choice? Even in your precious collective, do you actually believe actual people no longer make the actual decisions? As well, do you mind explaining how you came to this conclusion at all - in other words, was it your personal decision that personal decisions are wrong by default? If that's true, didn't you just prove yourself wrong by your own standard? Or are you fine with holding positions you agree are wrong simply because you dared hold them?

Then there is killing and God, whom you say would never agree with killing anyone. Any support for this ridiculous position, sport? Would God be against a police officer killing someone trying to commit murder? Would God be against a person killing to defend themselves from lethal harm? Look around at this world God made - you see any living being that escapes the death God made sure they'd eventually get? Then why do you think killing-per-se is against God?

You're out of your league by about a million miles. You accuse with belligerence but no supportive arguments, you don't define your terms, you confuse your terms with each other, your logic is not only faulty but literally undefined and you cancel your own arguments with themselves. No wonder you're confused - you haven't even learned to think yet!

But you want to - personally - declare the will of God, and the absolute impossibility of people to make a personal decision. LOL!

60,000 abortions at, say, $10,000 (average) per abortion = $600,000,000.

Tiller may have been the Bill Gates of the late-term abortion industry.

Still, his murder was wrong under the law and his killer will be made to face the dire consequences of his actions in court--something Tiller himself managed to dodge.

Every abortion is a heinous act of violence against one of the most innocent among us.

Just finished watching "Into the Storm" on HBO and it is an excellent work. I feel a close kinship with Churchill as he has won the war to only be tossed out with the election of the socialist Labor Party under Clement Attlee in the summer of 1945.

Churchill says the Labor Party victory just after the defeat of Germany was the ending of his world. Truth was never plainer spoke as that change of government hasten the journey of Great Britain along the downalator to the less than second rate and sinking lower power she is today.

I fear the election of the recent Liberal Democrat Party and socialist Obama is the trip wire for putting my world on its last legs.

The words of Thomas Babington Macaulay's Horatius, Churchill favorite remembered work comes to mind:

To every man upon this earth
Death cometh soon or late.
And how can man die better
Than facing fearful odds,
For the ashes of his fathers,
And the temples of his Gods

Yet how came we expect the defenders of our nation give their all then their own President cast shame on their nations past leaders and their past actions while leading a political party that debased the very God under which they swear to serve and defend the Constitution he shreds on a daily basis?

I wish to God I knew--

I noticed that Obama’s statement did not mention the word “surprised” and I really don’t think he is all that shocked.

If I recall correctly, obama didn’t have anything to say about the people who were being flooded out of their homes in (?) Northdakota a couple months ago.
