This is scary news. She seems like a nice lady.
She clearly suffers from a mental impairment of some type.
It is remarkable that she copes as well as she has in life.
Can you still say that? It's so... judgmental!
Britain's Got Talent runner up Susan Boyle was admitted to The Priory clinic last night suffering with exhaustion. Police were summoned to her hotel and the singer was assessed under the Mental Health Act after she had an 'emotional breakdown' following her shock defeat in the show's final.
Who assessed her, and when did "exhaustion" turn into "emotional breakdown?"
And they say the press doesn't make mountains out of molehills?
She acted spaced at the final show. Very unnatural.
Very sad.
I bet she wishs she never went on that show
I can well understand that she might flip out after having been under immense pressure and press attention. In itself, that would be pretty normal after what she’s gone through in the past few weeks.
And being on these shows involves a lot of waiting around, a lot of very strange and stressful lighting, probably irregular meals and sleep. Not easy if you’re not used to it.

A few prayers for this unique lady. I really hope someone steps in to guide her back to her own life before she loses what she has gained. But she has made a musical mark and can never lose that. I hope the future means her own albums, but done without fanfare, so that she can enjoy the pleasures of doing them and we in turn enjoy her great voice.
Boyle, from Blackburn, West Lothian,.... ran down a corridor shouting: ‘I hate this show.’
She sounds perfectly NORMAL
I think being in this much of a media spotlight would drive anyone nuts!
Nobody can ever take her talent away from her. She just needs a lot of peace and quiet.
I think she needs a break from the publicity and press. It would be enough to stress out anyone who wasn’t used to it. But I doubt that they will leave her alone.
She needs to walk - no, run from the psychs who are “treating” her.

Fame is horrible. It’s not for everyone. Maybe this is the only way she can get some peace and quiet for the time being, but I hope she gets it together and records a CD.
Let me be honest: This woman was not that great a singer. She lacked control over her vibrato, among other things.
But the gap between her looks and her sound are great; thus the interest in her.
I wouldn’t buy her album. She’s got an annoying voice, like Adam Lambert’s screeching voice. Like singing on MSG — startling, but you just can’t take too much of it.
