"I think that it's safe to say that any tenuous affiliation Westboro may have had with Al Gore was pretty much over by the nineties. In '97, due to the Clinton/Gore administrations backing of gay rights, WBC demonstrated at an inaugural ball calling him a "famous fag pimp" and in '98, at the funeral service of his father Albert Gore Sr., they yelled "your dad's in hell".
