Hubby and I have been watching, "John Adams" the HBO special. I am grateful for President Bush's humility, honesty, and sense of decency. These were all qualities of our great founding fathers.

May their spirits and energy be with us all now.....we're gonna need all the help we can get.

We must all hang together or we will surely hang separately. We cannot give up. This Country is worth saving. President Bush knew that and did all he could to save it for all our grandchildren and theirs. Now it is our turn to save that which is so dear to us all.

Obama can't take from us, that which is already ours.

Thank you President Bush....thank you, Sir... You understood the meaning and the honor of being President. We miss you dearly.

I have that DVD set on our Netflix queue. I'd seen a bit of it when we had an HBO preview weekend once, but not the whole thing.

I'd read David McCollough's terrific book about John Adams not too long ago, then a book about the election of 1800. Folks talk about the ugliness of campaigns nowadays as though it's something new. That election was brutal!
