there were over 400,000 votes in Minn for some third party saviour......

same thing when Ventura won....he split everything into thirds and he got the bigger third....

if we expect PERFECT candidates, then we will always lose.....

this is why we have the Rats controlling the whole country and many states....stupid, silly selfish little voters and all those glorious conservative voters who never seem to vote...all those good Christians you know.....

I hate to agree with you, but I do.

In looking at any race, you have to look at the constituents, and in MN that means generally progressive with some conservative leanings. Coleman suited that just fine, but it was not a year to be running as a Republican. Anywhere.

I fully sympathize with those who want a constitutional, conservative republican to lead them.

The bottom line remains, though, that Coleman lost his race. Blame it on whomever or whatever, but his responsibility was to win his race. He did not come through for his supporters.

The same with McCain.
