I’m completely serious. If you threaten the President and have weapons and training to carry out those threats, you need to be at the least questioned about it. If the guy had not made the threats, he would not have been arrested.

What exactly did the guy do? We all need to know where the boundaries are.
Was it a thought crime..? A spoken threat? A wish? An internet comment? Facts are are friends.

“If you threaten the President and have weapons and training to carry out those threats...”

You mean like the Navy vet in Tennessee last month that wrote a letter calling Barry a usurper and a domestic enemy of the constitution; and as a man who had sworn to defend that same constitution, he would oppose his treason?

Or do you mean like all the Leftists the last few years openly calling for Bush's assassination?

In this case, we don't even know if he REALLY made a viable threat, or whether he was just an American citizen grumbling about a unlawful occupant of the white house.

Yet, the state descends on his home with a military force???

That he peacefully cooperated in his arrest should give you a big hint what kind of threat he was!

We don't know that he did.

and have weapons

I haven't seen any reports that he did or didn't have weapons.

and training to carry out those threats,

Unless you got your weapons training in Yemen. If you got your weapons training while serving honorably in the U.S. Armed Forces, your government with take the extra precaution of arresting you and smearing your reputation in the press. But if you got your weapons training in Yemen, you're welcome to gun down soldiers at any of our recruiting stations, without fear of any interference.

you need to be at the least questioned about it.

Nice straw man. They didn't just question him about it. They stormed his home with a SWAT team, arrested him and smeared his reputation in the public forum, because he is a vet. They said that's why they took these "extra precautions."

If the guy had not made the threats, he would not have been arrested.

I hope they don't waste money on a trial, now that we know he's guilty by virtue of having been arrested. I hope you've never served on a jury, and I hope you never do.
