I don’t get upset when public companies get bought out. That’s the way the market works. I’m just sorry the White House is making these decisions based on what’s best for key Democratic Party constituencies rather than public companies doing what’s best by their shareholders. As far as the product goes, they can have it, it’s a great lumbering unaffordable beast - not like the original Hummers which at least were rugged and manuverable. When I see a new Hummer like an H2 I think of a fat man that has trouble walking - not a former military vehicle.
Deciding who you’ll be a slave to is no life at all. They are each horrible in their own way. Personally I would rather see everything in ashes and everyone dead before either is allowed to dominate America or our world.

It has always been a mystery how conservatives can even consider china as a friend because they are not...they force women to have abortions, harvest organs from living people, regulate the internet and the newspapers...in general it would be hard to find a more despicable country...one which has little to do with conservatism and libertarianism...keep in mind China owns a piece of every Chinese company as well as foreign companies manufacturing in China...if you are smart, you will fear China...they are not a friend and have basically destroyed this country with trade. Apparently only the chinese are allowed to drive road hogging gas guzzlers (and there’s a billion of them!), we get government motors now.
Why did GM need the government to buy it out in the US? Because the obama unconstitutional government wouldn’t let them operate here anymore. They have plenty of assets over seas and are doing very well in South America and elsewhere.
American citizens have been completely robbed of their domestic economy and the press instead of being ‘free’ is nothing more than a method of propagandizing global socialism. Of course they leave out of every article that GM’s global assets could have been used to avoid taking tax dollars. Of course they don’t tell you that the leftist Obama ‘appointed’ to oversee GM worked for a global socialist think tank that developed ways to manipulate the US government through “free trade” and the Doha trade rounds to redistribute our wealth in their pet project third world countries either. “free trade” and Obama working hand in hand to finish off the domestic economy.

I am looking at the totality of Obama’s terms. Americans are idiots, Obama will be a 2 term president, barring some amazing event.
Given 2 terms of Obama, yes, China would be worse, but from my vantage point, (an older white male who is a target in America today), I wouldn’t notice that much.
The Chinese already make a copy of the military HMMWV with assistance from AM General. It’s built by Dongfeng Motor Corporation. AM Gen first showed the vehicle to the PLA in 1988. Shenyang Aircraft Corporation started producing an unlicensed copy of the HMMWV in 2002. Dongfeng Motor started to produce theirs with AM Gen assistance in 2003. The Chinese HMMWV uses a Cummins Turbo-Diesel licensed by Dodge. Besides the engine it is different from the US military HMMWV only in exterior front end design. Because it is identical to the US military version, it is capable of mounting the US military V8 as well.
Summary:
This sale only involves the H2/H3 Hummer. The Chinese already build the H1/HMMWV themselves.
I have always thought two poster's we both know on this site are globalist shills who are hiding their socialist, liberal leanings. If you look at their post they favor open border's with mehico, dismantling of our manufacturing and technological base and every economic position they take if it's bad for the American worker they are 100% always for it.
The globalists do not like Americans to have jobs or a domestic economy. Free people with property and incomes are a threat to their plan.
