"He enthusiastically extolled the value of the ultrasound in performing abortions, and invited me to visit his clinic in Wichita." Tiller was a repulsive monster.

THE GRUESOME TRUTH OF THE ABORTION HOLOCAUST & THE DEATH OF DR. TILLER [Warning: A graphic photo of death & dismemberment]
It is the grimmest of ironies that one of the most savage, barbaric acts of evil in history began in one of the most modernized societies of its time, where so many markers of human progress became tools of human depravity: science that can heal, used to kill; education that can enlighten, used to rationalize away basic moral impulses; the bureaucracy that sustains modern life, used as the machinery of mass death, a ruthless, chillingly efficient system where many were responsible for the killing, but few got actual blood on their hands.Barack Obama April 24, 2009, Holocaust Remebernce Day, Chicago Sun Times.

Tiller deserved the chance to turn away from the evil of abortion He had plenty. He was "taken" because there was no possibility that he would repent.

Tiller deserved the chance to turn away from the evil of abortion. I cannot condone the taking of his life. I agree with this statement. Remember that it was an early pioneer--also someone once considered to be a monster--Bernard Nathanson, who was himself responsible for 75,000 abortions, who saw the light and repented his ways, becoming a strong pro-life advocate. Many abortionists have also found Christ and come to the other side. Violence is not the way. Truth is.

A repulsive monster who had a lifetime of opportunities to turn from the evil that he did. He chose not to, wouldn’t want to be him right about now.

Joe Scheidler, the founder of Pro-Life Action League and longtime pro-life activist, today issued a statement denouncing the slaying of Kansas late-term abortionist George Tiller. Tiller was shot dead Sunday morning as he was serving as an usher at his church....We deplore the killing of George Tiller on Sunday morning," said Scheidler. "It has always been my philosophy that we convert abortionists. As activists committed to saving lives, we vigorously oppose violence." Joe Scheidler PING!

Scheidler is way too kind. Tiller had 67 years in which to “come to the light” and stop the killing.
I’m just glad he didn’t have 77 or 87 years to crush the skulls of living breathing children.

Imagine being enthsiastic about a technology that enabled him to better “harpoon the whale” (abort-speak for plunging a needle into the beating heart of an unborn child.

Neither can I. I would have preferred he were struck down with a massive heart attack or an aneurysm myself.

Tiller deserved the chance to turn away from the evil of abortion. That's true . . . and he had the chance for many years. Sometimes God just has enough. It's not as if the man just started doing abortions.

Tiller was 67 years old. He had lots of time to repent, no hand wringing from me...he may have been a personable individual, but that didn't make him less evil..

I bet for an extra 20 bucks the mother got a souvenir album of her big adventure.

Tiller deserved the chance to turn away from the evil of abortion. He had plenty of chances.
He was an usher at his Lutheran church. His wife was in the Choir. He offered to baptize some of the babies he killed and to officiate over their funerals.
He knew what he was doing and he felt no guilt at all for it.
There comes a point at which God is no longer knocking at the door of your heart.
I suspect that was the case with Mr. Tiller for a long time.

"It has always been my philosophy that we convert abortionists." Is that what the Lutherans do???? Somehow I can't imagine him being an usher or anything else in our church. First you repent, then seek atonement.
At least none of the babies he murdered will have to see him in the afterlife.
