Is regulating greenhouse gases a necessary means to stop so-called manmade global warming? Or is it an effort by the government to exert more control over Americans day-to-day lives?
According to Rep. James Sensenbrenner, R-Wisc., the ranking member of the House Select Committee for Energy Independence and Global Warming, it is the latter, and it could have a devastating impact on agribusiness.
Sensenbrenner, speaking at the Heartland Institutes Third International Conference on Climate Change in Washington, D.C. on June 2, explained that a 2007 Supreme Court decision gave the Environmental Protection Agency the ability to regulate carbon dioxide (CO2) as a pollutant, which opened the door for the agency to regulate other gases.

By the way, are they going to tax vegans for the copious amounts of gas they produce from all the veggies they eat? Nah. . .
How about a sir chare on all the taco shops across the USA?
What about the gigantic quantities of methane emitted by termites when they munch on people’s houses? gonna tax the wee little globe destroying devils?
they can have my can of beans when they pry it from my cold, dead hands.
So you’re going the “Molon Labe” route as it pertains to beans, eh?
Well, you gotta take a stand sometime, I suppose. ;)
yeah but my wife keeps on sneaking Beano in my food.
We’ll be required to install “cow-alidic” converters on all of our livestock.
Americans won't wake up until they are forced to eat tofu burgers and are standing in long lines for a weekly ration of $7 per gallon gasoline for their Obamamobiles.
It’s too late.
Most of us have already stocked up on guns and ammo.
Push people into a corner too tight and somebody’s going to have hell to pay.
So to all of you damba$$ed politicians... tax away, take away as many freedoms as you can think of, burn our Constitution, turn our country inside out and upside down.
Yes, don’t let fear and common sense hold you back.... take away all of the reasons we choose to live peaceful in our land... please, do that and see what is in store for you.
There is a We The People still out here and those foolish politicians better figure that out.... soon.
“What about the gigantic quantities of methane emitted by termites when they munch on peoples houses? “
There was a study done years ago that concluded that termite farts were what maintained the oxygen level constant around the world whethwe it be in the Sahara where there are no termites to the rain forests where they are super abundant.
Pretty reliable sources tell me that huge chunks of U.S. Agribusiness is being transplanted to South America. Agribusiness has the cruds of all this phoney-baloney global warming and other change, as well as Cap & Trade looming on the horizon, and are voting with their feet. Much of the produce growing has been transferred to South America already.........where there aren’t all those pesky sanitation regulations, etc.
And in the near future, most of the dairy business will be moved south, as well. No longer a requirement for Bang’s Disease or TB testing of dairy cows, etc., etc. Won’t it be great when we no longer have any idea what kind of scourge and pestilence may be lurking in our vegetables or our milk and cheese?
They want to make us all vegetarians in time for obi’s health care plan. Only lettuce, celery, broccoli, and such will be allowed.
Probably with good reason...! Would you rather she periodically take an Airwick can and spray around you while you’re seated at the table? :)
Cattle farming is a traditional preindustrial activity that has been going on for millenia. How dare these environmentalists try to restrict something so perfectly natural and traditional?!
Well there's always "Soylent Green" I guess.
Then there is all the wind that comes out of D.C. Have they ever thought of taxing themselves?
I thought that’s what the candle part of a “candlelit” romantic dinner was all about.
