The majority of American Jews are liberals who came to America to get away from their rabbis (it wasn't really the Czar they were running from). And they're entire self-definition is based on being non-chr*stian. Chr*stians believe in a G-d who "interferes" in the world? Then we don't. They believe in Genesis? Then we declare Genesis a chr*stian invention. They put up monuments to the "Ten Commandments? We want them torn down." They are literally the most chr*sto-centric religious group on earth, taking their cues on every position from chr*stians. And why do they do this? Because they are burdened with guilt from introducing the "reactionary, bigoted, intolerant" Biblical G-d to the world, so they pretend they didn't do it. The chr*stians introduced him. Those people who massacred Canaanites in the Book of Joshua? That wasn't us; that was some time-traveling Southern Baptist Ku-Klukkers or medieval Spanish inquisitionists. Why else would they insert themselves into every situation where the Israelite/Canaanite paradigm is being repeated in order to side with the "Canaanites?" Guilt, that's why. Guilt, guilt, guilt. And all the decadent Weimar philosophy in the world can change the fact that they are the Original Rednecks. And they hate it.
Of course, I am describing alienated liberal Jews here. The leaders of Orthodoxy--the genuine rulers of `Am Yisra'el are the Gedolei-HaDor, the holy Torah Sages whose names are unknown to most liberal Jews and to almost all non-Jews.
