It’s beyond embarrassment NOW - claiming that obvious forgery (and *I* could forge a better one than that POC) was authentic might rise to the level of perjury, and having the forgery exposed, such that even the MSM could not cover it up, would sink any chance of re-election, and might even (I can hope) make it impossible to finish this term.

Obviously the "Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution" does not apply. So that leaves the "natural born Citizen" as the other operable requirement. I assume he has satisfied the age and residency requirements. It all goes to this natural born Citizen requirement.
Bushing off the arguments because Obama is a Citizen is the intellectually lazy way of trying to win the "argument". He may indeed be a Citizen. So is Henry Kissinger. So is Arnold Schwarzenegger. But they are ineligible to hold the office because of the natural born requirement.

Were it me, on one of my trips to Hawaii I’d have had that slug Gibbs call up the entire media - specifically including Fox, the perceived opposition station - and told them to meet me inside the Hawaii Health Dept. offices in Honalulu at a specific time, and that they should bring cameras. Once there, I’d have walked up to the front desk, cameras rolling, and filled out the form (and held it in front of the cameras so that everyone could see it). 5 or so minutes later, the certified copy of the long form BC would have come out, and I’d have first looked at it, and then given it to the media to film. THEN tell those doubting me to FOAD (though slightly nicer).

Oh, BTW, ANY relative of his with a common ancestor can request the BC. Dick Cheney is one such, as is the great uncle whom Fauxbama pissed off by lying repeatedly about which concentration camp he liberated. I think that it’d be VERY interesting if one of them got it and took it to the press. Cheney would, of course, be the most interesting...and he has nothing to lose except $10 (which he can well afford, though I hereby offer to reimburse him in full if he does this), since the media already despises him.

Ah, but if it was faxed to Clinton HQ by Lucy Ramirez from a Kinko's in Texas...which burned down the next night...I'm absolutely certain Hillary has seen the long form of the authentic birth certificate, and that whatever the information on it is that Obama prefers not to disclose, it is not disqualifying.

If this issue was following a Republican that had just been elected...
#1 He would not be president right now, because it would have never made it to this stage. The media would have had an ALL-OUT Blitz before the election ever took place and he would have been found out to be a fraud!
#2 If somehow a Republican would've gotten elected with this issue following them around, it would be on EVERY news stations, in EVERY newspaper, EVERY day and EVERY night until they flushed out the certificate!

Exactly. But why may Obama not be a natural born citizen? Because, at the time he was born, the rule was that if one of your parents was not a US citizen (and his father wasn't, everyone agrees to that), then either:
1) Your other parent had to have been a U.S. citizen for 5 years after having attained the age of 16 years; or
2) Notwithstanding 1), you were born within the borders of the United States or one of its territories.
OK, #1 doesn't work for him - his mother was only 19 when he was born - she would have had to have been 21 or older (and, similar to the fact that his father wasn't a US citizen, everyone agrees to this). That's why the issue of his birth in Hawaii (or the lack thereof) is so critical.
I would LOVE IT if someone convicted of a crime under a law signed by Obama would make the argument that they didn't violate the law, because there WAS NO LAW - THE BILL PASSED BY CONGRESS WAS NEVER SIGNED INTO LAW BY THE PRESIDENT, only by a man named Barack Hussein Obama, who was Consitutionally ineligible to hold the office of President of the United States. Either the case would have to be dismissed, or the BC would have to be obtained.
Last I heard the President has spent close to $2 million, of his own money, to prevent us from seeing something that doesn't really matter anyway.
