I strongly oppose her nomination — but petitions are a waste of time. They are about as effective as street protests — they make participants feel useful without having any effect whatsoever on the cause.
And, fundamentally, the fact that a few thousand people believe in something strongly enough to type their name on a list isn’t even a noteworthy fact. At least protesters have to DO something.
Petitions are prone to fraud, and ultimately prove nothing about the opinions of the public. There are more productive endeavors.

She is certain to be approved with probably 60+ votes unless something completely out of left field arises. Most of these surveys, filibuster calls and petitions are just an excuse to raise money.
