Daniel James Murray Charged With Making Threats To Kill Commander-In-Chief Suspect: 'We Are On A Mission To Kill The President Of The United States'

Federal prosecutors have charged a New York man with making threats to kill President Barack Obama, but they still haven't found him. Authorities believe he's driving a car with New York plates.
While Obama tours overseas, Secret Service agents back in the US are searching for a man they say has threatened the president's life.
Daniel James Murray – who investigators say drives a blue 2001 Buick LeSabre, New York license plate RL1445 – allegedly blames Obama for a banking system he says will fail and cause worldwide chaos.
A Secret Service affidavit filed in US District Court Thursday alleges that Murray withdrew $85,000 from a Utah bank on Tuesday, May 19.Murray returned to the bank, asked for $13,000 in small bills, and told the teller, "we are on a mission to kill the President of the United States."
The Secret Service says Murray has been moving about the country recently, with at least eight registered firearms.
A quick glance at the “who’s next” in the line of succession pretty much requires a fast capture ...
This is a nut cake asking to be shot or arrested. If he was serious he would not advertise.

If he was, the last thing in the world he would do is blab his intentions to anyone, least of all a bank teller.

Isn’t it kind of scary that they could do this to just about anyone, anywhere? Get someone to say you threatened the president? I’m not saying that happened here, but the thought... then you’re a dangerous looney and must be locked away, IF they take you alive.

If that is the only evidence they have, they have no case. “He said, she said” is not a formula for success.
Now, if they have a tape recording, that could be a little more, but even that could only prove he said it. It could have been a joke. He did not actually threaten anybody in that statement.
Unless they have more, this is nothing but a big joke.

Almost certainly a fruitcake. But it’s their job to round him up and see if he’s a harmless fruitcake or if he is a dangerous fruitcake who really does have weapons and intent.

Total agreement here. I actually worry about this. I want the president gone, but through a legitimate election, not like this. I remember the 60's and I think we're on a much more volatile powder keg than we were then. I do NOT want chaos here.
