Psychological State of the Union

Psychological State of the Union

Many Americans don’t feel the thrill associated with President Obama’s “Change” as it has an adverse effect on their “Psychological State of the Union”. They liked their country the way it was before it lurched to the political Left. For those who mourn and grieve the loss of their Country there needs to be some consideration of their emotional, psychological and mental health. After all, these are the people who bought into the “American Dream”. They fought in wars and went to a job they may not have enjoyed to put sustenance on the table for they and their family. They never asked for anything extra, nor did they take away from anyone else.

It’s called “The Second Coming”.

Shibumi just posted it.

“So what are you doing to prepare for it?”

Where I live is mostly hillbillies, most of whom are still subconsciously fighting the civil war.

Nobody here is doing anything “special”, I suppose because we’ve always known this time would come.

There weren’t any “runs” on guns or ammo here because it wasn’t necessary.

We’ve always had guns, ammo and the mountains at our back.

Things will be different in the urban and suburban areas of conflict than here.

Hundreds of years later, we’re all still Celts at heart....children of the mists.

I don’t know what will happen to the “civilized” liberal outlanders who have moved in amongst us.

I reckon I don’t much care, either.

Look on the bright side...Stephen King will finally get his chance “to tap dance on the grave of the world”.

Tom Cullen speaks of The Dark Man:

“He looks like anybody you see on the street.
But when he grins, birds fall dead off telephone lines.
When he looks at you a certain way, your prostate goes bad and your urine burns.
The grass yellows up and dies where he spits.
He’s always outside.
He came out of time.
He doesn’t know himself.”

Flagg A.K.A.’s:
Ahaz, Astaroth (the devil of laziness), Nyarlahotep, R’yelah, Seti, The Dark Man, The Man with No Face, The Walkin Dude, John the Conqueror, Flagg the Hooded, The Midnight Rambler, the Boogeyman, the Wizard, the Magician, the Ageless Stranger. Legion. The king of nowhere.

Flagg aliases:
Ramsey Forrest, Raymond Fiegler, Robert Franq, Richard Fry, Robert Freemont, Richard Freemantle, Russell Faraday, Richard Fannin.

King on Flagg:
“I think he personifies a brand of evil we see a lot of in modern society. He’s the guy who always laughs as he does it, and he’s out there.”

M-O-O-N....that spells “we’re screwed”.

Perhaps now people will understand the South’s point of view.

[from the second people started calling him “The new Lincoln”, my guts clenched tight]

“but I look at the people in the Cafeteria and they’re staring in rapt attention”

I take it you’ve never seen a small animal just sitting there, staring at the snake that’s about to eat it.

Strangely (or maybe not so) I find both of those images easier to look at that The Usurper.

Noumenon, you said, “...I am prepared to honor my oath to defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, both foreign AND domestic.” I can assure you that your feelings are shared by many loyal Americans throughout the country. It is being shown statistically by the increase in gun sales and ammunition stockpiles that is also occurring. As one who is nonviolent and legalistic, I find this very unsettling. As a realist and avid historian, I can see the inevitability. I can further assure you that, just as mans rights are given to him by God so that they cannot be taken away by the government, there will always be an element that fights for those rights no matter who is in power. It is just a matter of how far you are willing to go to retain your God given rights.

My heritage runs that way, too. As for the fate of those who have made their choice for the Dark Side, well... I don't much care, either. That die has been cast.

The problem with being “non-violent and legalistic” is that it’s all just fine as long as the rule of law is upheld and all men are equal before it. It is Reason versus the Law of he Jungle.

The problem you face - that we ALL face - is that the Law of the Jungle has now gotten the upper hand. And it is growing stronger with every passing day. Its practitioners hold people like you in contempt. By their lights, you’re a loser and a slave. Or a candidate for a mass grave.

As I’ve said before, if you liken the Rule of Law and Constitutional government to a game of chess, then these people will not only sweep the pieces off the board and upend the table - they’ll put a bullet in you while they’re at it.

So much for the utility of ‘non-violence.’

Wasn’t it Lenin who said, “You may not be interested in war, but war is interested in YOU.”

Your worldview is not a survivable one. Not today. And not tomorrow.

That’s why I’m sharpening my skills with rifle, pistol, knife and tomahawk.

And by saying “children of the mists”, I’m gonna make the assumption that you know what I *really* meant by that.

I am not disagreeing with you. History shows that you are right. My nature is nonviolent but have I spent most of my life serving my Country and our military. The civil unrest is brewing and I find it tragic that we have come to this.

Families are being torn apart over politics. My own family has suffered because the Obama message has become, to them, more important than the family unit. I see it is happening every where. It is Biblical.

Despite my basic nonviolent nature I will always be in the trenches with those who defend the truth. I don't think this is a conflict. I think this is being a realist.

First of all, thank you for your service. Those who dedicate their lives in this manner are God’s own.

You are correct - what we’re facing is tragic beyond words. It makes a mockery of what our ancestors fought for 234 years ago. It is tragic beyond words to see a once strong and proud Republic brought to its knees by the wrecking crew in Washington.

The strife that the Dark Side has created through its acolytes - like Obama - is indeed of Biblical proportions. As will be the consequences.

No one in their right mind seeks violence. We would all much rather live under the Rule of Law versus the Law of the Jungle. But warriors know how to respond to it. As I believe that you will. Those of us who will stand and resist can take comfort in the fact that we are not alone.
