“However, one massive, seething army of taxpayers that would dwarf any demonstration of the War in Vietnam or MLK’s civil rights campaign would force the worthless media to have to rethink their doctrine that only the Left can mobilize, because the Right is too busy or too lazy to protest.”

Gosh...I love that kind of talk...

"EU is soundly voting out socialism today — what the heck is wrong with our voters!" We've been warned by their politicians, their writers, their scholars...we need to get the attention of the public PDQ - look what they have done to our country in such a short time...time to storm the castle!

“We need a peoples revolt ..”

Forget it. A people’s revolt might turn out more leftwing than now. What we need is an American Pinochet to take names, kick the proper tail, fine tune the Constitution to get rid of the income tax and the equal protection BS, and remove the amendment provision. Firing squads working day and night to clean out the politicians, the universities, and the queers in the media. As a start.

“Gosh, I love that kind of talk....”

Yeah, but it is just talk. Bottom line is, no ‘demonstration’ by our side will accomplish much of anything. The commies figure that we don’t have the cubes to actually do something, and by ‘something’, I mean something that has physical threat tied to it. Without the fear, these tea parties and demonstrations don’t mean diddly. Might make some on our side feel good about themselves, but they won’t accomplish anything. Folks, the system is corrupt beyond repair right now, there is no intellectual honesty at all on the left, so there is no ‘convincing’ them they are wrong. Plan B is called for.

There may be at least one adult in the administration who realizes that continuing this ridiculous spending spree is going to put the brakes on the economy bigtime. The ideas being floated about more taxes to pay for health care are ridiculous. You don’t raise taxes in a recession. It’s idiotic.

Bernanke testified last week that we had to rein in government spending. He’s scared of a bond dislocation as there have been numerous articles about bond vigilantes refusing to play the game anymore. The Chinese have threatened as well and Hillary AND Turbo Timmy had to go over there and twist their arms.

The rise in treasury rates just recently have torpedoed a lot of mortgage refi’s in the pipeline and stifled potential sales. If we have another 1-2% rise in loan rates, forget about a housing market recovery. It will just keep plummeting.

A steady recovery is contingent not only on keeping interest rates low, but also on reining in federal spending. They have to be in tandem or else the latter prevents the former.

Is Paul Volcker still around or has he been completely marginalized? He would not like what’s going on at all and would provide adult supervision.

We’ll know more about where this story is coming from and what the purpose of it is soon. Headline is too sketchy right now to draw conclusions.

It is difficult for me to imagine this guy completing his first term.

I told several people before he got elected I can see tanks in the streets of Washington as they pull him out of the White House. I won't say what I think WE THE PEOPLE might do to the traitor when the military is forced to take him out.

Cripes, there are people who don’t want to go to DC on the fourth because they have BBQ plans...what are the chances an armed insurrection will happen without at least getting some motion in the ocean first? You don’t fire a warning shot first, you lose the public...too many warning shots, you lose the public...spontaneous and overwhelming public demand to stop this suicide will gain attention...this is a national holiday with a lot of people in town for fireworks, they aren’t going to be able to close it down without a huge backlash...we win just by showing up...at least, the opening move, we win...just by showing up...

Anyone remember the late 90’s on FR, before the blogisphere, when a Drudge headline would keep a thread going for hours? Those were the days....
