Geoffrey Dunn breathlessly reports at the Huffington Post that Palin committed “pure unadulterated plagiarism”...well, actually, that’s what he said yesterday. Today he scrubbed that statement.
He's up in arms about the speech that Gov. Palin gave in Anchorage last week at the Michael Reagan event. Dunn writes:
While Palin twice mentioned Gingrich in the speech (she never once acknowledged Shirley), virtually every single reference she made to Reagan was looks to be lifted directly from the Gingrich-Shirley article.The article has been scrubbed. It used to include this sentence at the end of the above paragraph:
It’s a pure case of unadulterated plagiarism.Apparently someone pointed out to Geoffrey that by twice citing Gingrich, Gov. Palin was attributing the words/ideas to him. She had no intention of pretending that it was hers. She was paraphrasing his words, but essentially using what he wrote. That’s why she cited his article twice.

I urge people to read the entire story at C4P. This left-wing hit piece is a bunch of crap but HufPo, Daily Kos, the nutjobs in Alaska are all involved. They saw what happened in NY yesterday with the throngs of people coming out to see Gov. Palin in a blue state and they're hauling out every smear trick in the book.

They’re so desperate to stop her, they are throwing anything they can in her direction, not even caring if anything sticks. The idea is to create an unending scream of white noise to drown her out.
It sort of reminds me of the OJ trial, when Johnny Cochran and the other swine objected to every single sentence in the prosecutors’ summations. The idea is not to engage in debate, it’s to shout down the other point of view.
She shook up a lot of people yesterday when 20,000+ people showed up in a sleepy NY town that went for Obama last time.
