WASHINGTON - D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty continues to travel out of town, keeping his whereabouts a secret from the public.
A spokesperson for Fenty refused to say where the mayor is today, whether or not he's in the country, or how long he will be gone.
Even people close to Fenty aren't aware of his travel schedule.
Fenty's spokesperson Mafara Hobson wrote that the mayor is on a "personal trip" and declined to answer any other questions.
Fenty recently returned from an undisclosed trip to the Middle East. When asked by WTOP, Fenty said the trip was "basically a family vacation."
Later, Fenty acknowledged that the United Arab Emirates government paid $25,000 for the trip. A previous family trip to China was paid for by several Chinese government agencies.
Fenty says he performed official business on both trips but refused to provide any details.
Last week, Fenty traveled to Philadelphia to watch the NCAA basketball tournament. A spokesperson for Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter tells WTOP that Fenty asked Nutter for six tickets to Nutter's skysuite at the Wachovia Center.
Last year, Fenty took several undisclosed trips to campaign for President Barack Obama.
Taxpayers paid for three members of Fenty's executive staff, 10 police officers, and three detectives to travel with Fenty as he campaigned across the country for Obama over a five-month period

Hmmm, DC mayor means dim-bulb-crat. Obama supporter adds to the suspicians.
So, the trip was for:
1) drugs
2) money laundering
3) pandering to musnuts
4) giving out debt dollars to ACORN
5) sex
6) assorted misc corruption
and
7) since it’s an Obamaloon supporter - ALL OF THE ABOVE
Yeah, this has the need for an investigation written all over it.
Considering that he represents a city that re-elected Marion Barry, I don't think his constituents give a rat's patooty how much of the tax payer's money he wastes. Let's face, they don't pay taxes.
What are the odds he’s smoking crack with hooker in a hotel somewhere??
Every mayor DC has ever had was and is a meathead.
But then the city is chock a block with meatheads.
So Mr. Fenty will have no problem with any of this.
Always remember this: The District of Columbia does only TWO things well - ticket and tow cars.
Everything else is a roll of the dice. Voters usually crap out.

So we have the DC Mayor globetrotting and MIA we now have another black Mayor, Nagin out of New Orleans, stuck in Singapore. Are we missing something (Other than Hillary)?
Nagin and Fenty were both 2008 Super delegates and both for Obama...just interesting that city Mayors are so global lately.
