John and Ken (KFI 640 AM) read, for half an hour with ONE commercial break, all of the titles of all of the California state offices and departments. A few were necessary (police, fire, etc). The rest sounded like a jumble of redundancies and do-gooder bureaus that have nothing doing in the public sector.

It is a shame, but had the system not been so grossly abused there would be plenty to care for the truly needy. The idea of welfare for those who choose not to work is ridiculous.

The only question is whether 0bama bails us out. I believe he will b/c he can’t afford to have the rest of the Nation see what will be the end-result of his policies. The upside to this bailout of CA is that hopefully enough people in other states will be so POed that 0bama will get clobbered in ‘12.

Just going to encourage the importation of more illegals - it is hard to call $8/hour a living wage. Then there is the overhead charged by the agencies, usually something like the hourly wage itself - don’t know how much is cost and how much profit. How big a cut are the agencies expected totake.
Mostly, they go to nursing homes.
I wouldn't call it a scam necessarily. If the family member had to quit a job to take care of the relative, then it may be less expensive to give some income to that family member than to move the individual into a nursing home or something like that.

The only trouble is if he bails out kullyfornia, there are forty other states running deficits that will line up. What will the states that are not in deficit think of that? THAT is something that will bring the talk of splitting up the union right back front and center. And we’ve already seen that when obumma bails someone out he feels he owns they @ss. You think we lack federalism now, wait till that man thinks he’s the dictator of kullyfohnia.
