Sacramento -- There is more pain ahead for elderly, disabled and poor Californians.

Schwarzenegger has proposed reducing caregiver pay under the In Home Support Services program -- used by 446,000 Californians with disabilities -- from a maximum of $10.10 per hour (including benefits) to $8.60. That will make it tougher to find help.

"I expect suicides, premature deaths, a horrible disruption of the social fabric. . . . We're headed toward market-based social Darwinism where only the fittest will survive."

Methinks the tax payers are already there...

And still they will support illegal immigrants and overpaid civil servants.

I think we should do like the Arabs do. Just put the old and infirm on a ice flow and say good-bye as they go to sea.

First the government takes away incentive to do well on your own with the “New Deal”, “Great Society” and other “womb to tomb” BS. Then they cap incomes of those offering “free” healthcare which will all but destroy the program. Raise taxes and lower income. Makes sense (~sarc) Vicious circle for dems.

Having perfected this technique to a science, my grandmother would be proud.

Genest: "The government doesn't provide services to rich people. We don't provide very many services even to the middle class. . . . You have to cut where the money is."

Of couse, that won't include the professional politcal class porkers in Sacramento, the public employee unions or race-based services to the sacred illegal alien cows, will it?

This would probably affect my Great-Uncle. He’s 95 and lives in California. Hasn’t been in such great health lately.

There were, until western civilization caused global warming.

I believe that’s the Inuit, and possibly only in the horrendous movie “North”.

And the truth of it is it is all unnecessary. If California opened its offshore oil to drilling they would have sufficient tax revenues to fully fund their grand social experiment.

These $2000+ suits are great, instead of implementing obvious, rational solutions, they kick American citizens out to the sidewalk.

The future of America?

One can bet the Socialists will control the border with dogs, automatic weapons and mines.
