Thank You Scott Roeder.
I just did, And it really wasn't that difficult.
Scott Roeder may have been a troubled individual, with ten dollars, a car, and a gun as his assets, and little to show for his lifetime of existence, but with one inexpensive act, he has become infamous and heroically stood up for the unborn by killing a man who fiendishly lived off of the spilled lifeblood of babies. Scott may be in prison for the rest of what otherwise could have been miserable years of decline for a troubled underachiever, but now he has atoned for his lack of achievement and has fame as a prisoner of war in the battle against abortion that he formerly anguished over. What was once just angst is now his accomplishment, gone are his days of feeling like he hasn't made a difference. I wouldn't doubt that Scott will chose to derive much of his self identity from this bold act instead of the 50 something years of Scott's underachievement that preceded it. I'm guessing that his comments from jail indicate that he sees himself as a prisoner of conscience who has sacrificed himself for the right of life for the preborn children.
People from every end of the spectrum and everywhere in between have condemned Scott Roeder's act of killing. But if you were to view it as the first shot in a war for the defense of unborn Americans, that would make Scott a hero who acted while 300 million of us either stood against him, or did squat, or just prayed that God would stop george tiller from continuing to kill multiple babies every day from his business in Wichita.
It all depends on whether or not this will cause the left to cower or if it will inspire them to greater acts of barbarity in the future.
