Officers ran out of police headquarters and responded from around the city to the officer's radio call for help from an apartment building at 557 Atlantic St.
The mother of one suspect came to headquarters and demanded to know where her son was, saying she'd come from work because someone had told her he was being beaten unnecessarily by four cops and she would call President Barack Obama for help if necessary.
"He's a good boy," she told police, slamming her hand on the window counter.
