I knew you’d come back like that, just knew it!

Started work at the company I’m in with no mandate as such, now there is one. I chose to work for a non Marxist company when I was hired and they shifted the sands after the fact.

Now the jobs situation is horrible and I would have to lose all of my benefits and start over to go somewhere else that’ll probably do the same and at a much lower wage.

No, there’s hardly any choice in the matter for the consumer anymore, it is foisted on you by crook or by hook. I’ve been snookered just like almost everyone else. It’s the insurance companies and the contracts that employers negotiate. the incentive isn’t there to negotiate good terms when you can pass it on to the employee and claim that times are hard and the economy’s bad (even when it really isn’t).

And I knew that was coming. That's why I added "there's a lot of that going on these days." Our area has 11% unemployment. My last job I had 6 year degrees working next to me for temp-12$/hr, no bennies, business slowed down clean sweep/whole shift. I should move, but I don't have to at the moment. I certainly don't want some "health czar" telling me I have to get health insurance and looking at my diet.
