Dave Letterman, cutting edge and hysterically funny—in the 1980s! Part of the reason I was such a huge fan back then was that he deliberately avoided politics and current events. He just stuck to the off the wall comedy.

Good for the Palins trashing him over his lewd comments. They should also call on 0bama to condemn this lack of civil discourse. When he fails to do so, Sarah can use this is another tool in her campaign against him.

He was. I really long for the days of Larry Bud Melman, the giant doorknob, and Biff Henderson's golf cart of death. It really breaks my heart to see Letterman become a Bill Mahr clone.
