Dude, you are all over the map, and far too practiced at assigning false motives to be taken seriously when you are accusing someone else of the same.

PS I knew almost every single thing you accused me of not knowing. In short, you have been wrong about pretty much everything. I have noticed the more you write, the more mistakes you make, and at a consistently high rate. It’s too bad for you that you are so long winded.

You might try replying to the substantive issues on occasion. If you did, one might be less inclined to assume motive.

As yet neither you nor Bergman has provided one shread of evidence that Marx was even exposed to Darwin’s writings about evolution while in Berlin between 1835 and 1841 and no evidence that Marx lived in Berlin during another time. Since that is exactly what YOUR quotation of Bergman suggests, I can only conclude it is you and Bergman that are guilty of either shoddy scholarship or spreading falsity.

In English politics, Charles Darwin expressed strong views only in opposition to slavery, that position making him a nominal Whig rather than Tory. Being a Whig was a long ways from being a leftist revolutionary of any flavor. Neither you nor Bergman have provided one shred of evidence that Darwin ever supported leftist causes or gave a twit about Marx or Communism.

This is relevant because absent such evidence, whatever Marx might have read that Darwin wrote may be relevant to Marx but is totally without relevance to Charles Darwin and Darwin’s Theory. BFD. From the Beagle onwards, Darwin’s more popular works were read by most of the 19th Century intelligensia of Europe of whatever political persuasion, influencing many.

In a context of illuminating Marx, Bergman’s piece would be considered little more than flawed scholarship by an amateur historian with an attitude. I have no problem with an accurate account of how Darwin influenced Marx, if at all.

But in the context of “Creation Science,” Bergman’s piece is fabricated propaganda which seeks to tar Darwin’s Theory by implying false connection with the sins of Communism, most outlandishly in Stalinist Russia where biology viewed evolution through Lysenko’s peculiar take on Lamark’s by then discredited theory. Bergman’s premise is that Darwin led Marx astray in Berlin and that evil was the result. Bergman is an accomplished writer who knows what he is doing with the written word. Let the premise slide by, as you are want to do, and the slander is accomplished.

Yes it is.

According to many various sources, Darwinism is not only to blame for Nazism and Communism, but also capitalism, socialism, democracy, oligarchy, fascism, imperialism, etc.
Apparently without Darwinism there would be no system of government or economics at all - except that Darwinism has been said to espouse anarchy as well.

Your original post was pure opinion, without an iota of fact behind it. Many other posters have covered the sillier aspects - like the disparity in dates between the Communist Manifesto's publication date, and that of Origin of the Species.

But I know, don't confuse you with the facts. By now you're probably on to your next ten or twelve creationism posts.

I’m sure the list is quite extensive. With YOUR twisting of the historical timeline, you’ll probably try to pin Darwin to Sodom...Gomorrah...maybe even the Fall itself.
