US government seeks to rein in executive pay

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Obama administration says executive compensation must be better managed to prevent the sort of risk-taking that jeopardizes the economy.

Gene Sperling, who advises Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, said Thursday the administration does not want to impose caps on executive pay. But he also laid out for the House Financial Services Committee a list of guidelines calling on publicly-held companies to link compensation to long-term performance, not short-term gains.

Per the recommendations of some elite Harvard economists, Obama is desperately trying to ignite inflation. The problem with inflation is that wages never keep up. Employees don’t have access to the decision making authority to increase their own wages.

Therefore, Obama is trying to make Americans poorer by lowering the real value of their wages.

This is because he wants us to be on a par with 3rd world incomes, or because he is trying to foment some kind of rebellion. The first would greatly benefit certain power elites. The second would provide the seedbed for a massive redefinition of America, either by force or by Constitutional Convention.

Laura Ingraham is on it right now. It may make Rushbo’s program. If not today, tomorrow is open line Friday.

“I just don’t see why the country is not in total outrage with this administration.”

Because 25 plus million Americans per night get their news from either CBS, NBC, or ABC........

Bingo. The country is not, yet, in total outrage because most of the country does not realize exactly what is going on. The state run media is NOT telling them the truth.... and, for the most part, the pain has not hit home....yet. Oh, there is plenty of pain going on out, but the tipping point has not been reached. It IS coming, though I fear it won’t be soon enough.

The latest fad is to take a pay cut, shut up and be happy you have a job.

The obamaUSA is not the only country on Earth. Depending on background and skills, there may be better opportunities elsewhere.

Barney Frank was talking about this on CNBC - he seems to feel that democrats can tell business what the American people “feel and demand”.

Which oddly enough is what Barney Frank “feels and demands”. The fact that this nutty ego maniac thinks he can push American business around because in his mind HE IS THE AMERICAN PEOPLE is crazy.

It's like the Mullahs saying they speak for ALLAH - and that to disagree with them is to disagree with GOD. IT’s the MOST totalitarian -thuggy - nightmarish stage a person in power gets to - Barney's flipped to evil.

Some would say, I among them, that if She goes down, I go down with Her. I could no more leave my Country than shoot my own foot.

Fight until I have no breath in me and all that jazz.

While I would hope that the people in this country should be outraged, unfortunately some that I have met would actually applaud this

In recent months, I have gotten into quite a few arguments with some idiots that think that the government should limit the max that corp executives should earn.

One of these incidents happened to be over breakfast in a restaurant and I about tore the woman's head off when she opened her yap to spout off.

I said who in the hell gave you the right to decide what a person is paid, maybe I think you are paid to much and should get a lesser amount.

Poor hubby (it was his cousin) & her husband --- I was so pissed at her I told hubby never again.

Then another --- an saleperson at a GM (obama motors) dealership said practically the same thing to me --- I said what makes you think the gubermint will stop at their wages --- maybe they will think you make too much ---- went right over the idjits head too.

So --- I am NOT surprised that no one cares, the left has succeeded tremendously with their "class envy" war.

Do other countries have open borders or do they restrict immigration?

New Zealand denied an “obese” man entry because the nation did not want to cover his potential health costs.

Japan does not permit foreigners to become full citizens.

Baseball, football and basketball players too.

So I can joke "Alex Rodriquez got raped at the ball bark by President Obama".

“So you’re NOT sick of a congress that walks with $160 K a year, not counting their cars, planes, security details, free meals etc no matter HOW MANY TIMES they screw up?”

On a side note, I suspect [with no evidence, but this is just my guess] that many in Congress have a means of hiding funds in secret, possibly Swiss accounts. The reason I think this is because I can see the lifestyle some of them live, and there is no way 160K per year could support it. 160K per year does not enable one to have kids in expensive private schools, drive expensive cars, take expensive vacations, live in a million-dollar home in expensive neighborhoods [with property taxes alone around 25 thousand a year]; and some of the examples I have seen are not people who were wealthy before they went to Congress.

I just don’t see why the country is not in total outrage with this administration.

Because, sadly, our media is reporting on date night, gardens and dogs. And the fact that a lot of Americans are more interested in American Idol rather than American politics.

I have neighbors (Independent leaning Republicans) who I sit out in the eveing with sometimes and talk about everything. One eveing I told them that my company just laid off 100 people and cut everyones salary by 5% and and quit matching our 401Ks which combined is a 8% salary loss. All they could say is that “they just feel that good things are coming and that Obama is working hard to make good things happen.”

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrggghh!!!

Can we cap Jeremiah Wright, Al Sharpton, and Jesse Jackson’s pay?

How much money does a bigot need anyway?

Jesse Jackson showed he doesn’t even need that much. If he has child support payments to make, he’ll just embezzle it from a non-profit agency.

I just don’t see why the country is not in total outrage with this administration.

Because the lazy, the corrupt, and the professional victims' groups gave him 52% of the vote. They are delighted with Obama. It won't be for several more years, when the economy completely collapses and they lose their transfer payments, that they'll get angry.

They'd MUCH rather escape from this nightmare.
